FAQs

Are you a member of a particular denomination?

No. GBC is an independent Bible church.

What children's ministries do you have?

9:30 AM - nursery, preschool class, children's Sunday School (K-6th)
10:30 AM - nursery, preschool class, children's church (K-4th)

Are children allowed in your services?

Children of all ages are welcome in our services.

What kind of preaching do you have?

Our pastors seek to:

  • study diligently and explain carefully what the Bible says
  • exalt Jesus Christ in all of the Scriptures, leading our congregation to love and worship Him
  • apply the Scriptures in a way that leads to God-honoring Christian living
  • preach the gospel with clarity to those who are lost

Do you follow a particular theological system or confession?

You can find a detailed statement under the "beliefs" section of this site. We have deep respect for the men who have labored diligently to systematize biblical truth and state it in succinct confessions of faith (such as the Westminster Confession). Our church is not, however, a "confessional" church in that we don't follow one particular confession or one particular theological system. We want the Bible itself to be the ultimate determining factor in what we believe.

How long has this church been in existence?

GBC was planted in Menifee in the fall of 2003.

Why do you use conservative music?

Our worship is congregational, because God is honored when a church family sings together to Him. We keep the focus off of performers or a performance, so that the congregation can focus on singing to the Lord together. We also want our music to honor God and reflect His holiness. For this reason, we don't try to keep up with the changing styles that are currently popular in secular music. Our goal is to have vibrant, congregational singing that comes from the heart and focuses on God to honor Him.
